MORE HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES

Christmas at the Fair. Holidays in the Greenbrier Valley aren't complete without a trip to the fair! Turn left on Blue Ribbon Drive for a drive-through (and walk-through) Christmas lights show of dazzling proportions. Select evenings from Dec. 5th through Dec. 24th, the fairgrounds buzz with the sights and sounds of Santa's workshop and elves, a gingerbread village, the Grinch and his trusty companion, Max, the tunnel of lights and other illuminating surprises!  Free to enjoy, but donations are appreciated.

DEC 4. Adorned with twinkling lights and festive sights, the Ronceverte Christmas Parade commences at 7pm to ring in the season.

DEC 5. For more jingle bells and Santa's elves, the Lewisburg Christmas Parade makes its way down Washington Street at 7pm.

DEC 5-14. Enjoy the quirky side of the season with A Tuna Christmas, a fun-loving comedy that brings small-town life to life with eccentric characters, all played by two actors. It's the perfect holiday escape and a reminder of the joy (and chaos) that comes with family and neighbors during Christmas.

DEC 6. Gather the family and join the holly jolly festivities at Alderson's Annual Christmas Parade, complete with special appearances by the Greenbrier East and the Eastern Greenbrier Middle School marching bands!

Take an evening stroll across Alderson's pedestrian bridge.

DEC 6. You won't want to miss the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra in its holiday pops concert, Sounds of the Season, at Carnegie Hall.

DEC 7. It's a festive time at the White Sulphur Springs Annual Christmas Parade, with jingle bells ringing, carolers singing and Santa himself making an appearance.

DEC 8. Invite the gals to a timeless tradition of afternoon tea and lovely music at a historic home in downtown Alderson. Reserve your place by calling the Alderson Artisans Gallery--sittings at 1pm and 3pm.

DEC 8 – A Christmas tradition in the Greenbrier Valley, spend the afternoon listening to the beautifully harmonized melodies of the Greenbrier Valley Chorale.

DEC 14. Get your shopping list ready! Lewisburg is rolling out the red carpet for Girls' Day Out. A must-do if you're planning a holiday-season-girlfriend getaway. Later that evening, it's all about Christmas classics and holiday favorites at this special showing, Joy to Lewisburg, with WV Music Hall of Fame member Bob Thompson and special guest Zara Bode. And if you're in the Meadow River Valley at 6pm, it's the Rainelle Annual Christmas Parade.

DEC 29 & 30.  A beloved holiday story, The Greenbrier plays host to the Beckley Performing Arts and guest ballet artists in a performance of The Nutcracker ballet. Set on the eve of Christmas 1830, this delightful fairytale brings toys to life as a young German girl dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and his battle against an army of mice.

DEC 31. Celebrate the New Year in style at Mountain Table’s Disco Party, complete with a festive dinner of good luck foods, dancing and a midnight champagne toast.
