Civil War Trails

The Greenbrier Valley is home to several Civil War Trails sites, including the Alderson Ferry Crossing, Battle of Lewisburg and Organ Cave to name a few. These sites have been designated as part of the West Virginia Civil War Trails Program and are included in the official Civil War Trails brochure. Those wanting to explore the Civil War history of the Greenbrier Valley - as well as the entire state of West Virginia - may find the brochure useful for identifying the 150 interpretive markers located around the state.
