Summit Lake Recreation Area

Made up of 43 acres of lake and 33 campsites, Summit Lake is an oasis along Route 39. The wooded campsites offered paved access roads and parking spurs. Lake access includes an electric motorboat ramp and accessible fishing piers. The area is fully stocked with rainbow, brown, golden and brook trout. Nearby hiking and mountain biking are also available via the Summit Lake and Pocahontas Trails.

The recreation area is located on Rt. 39, approximately 40 miles north of Rainelle.
