Annual Home and Garden Tour Receives CVB Mini-Grant

Lewisburg, WV – The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) grants $1750 in marketing funds to the Greenbrier Historical Society’s Home and Garden Tour.

The Home and Garden Tour takes place June 12, 13 & 14. Swift Level Farms hosts an opening gala Friday night, then Saturday attendees tour the homes from 10 am to 5 pm. Stops include Swift Level Farm, a working farm, McKinney House, an original farm home, The Jewell House, the oldest home in Lewisburg, the Victorian Home on Washington Street, as well as the McClung Street Brick House and the Old Stone Manse. Activities for Sunday include lunch, concert and tour at the Rainelle Methodist Church beginning at 12:30 pm.  Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday tours can be purchased at the door.

Each year the CVB sets aside a portion of its budget to assist local entities with their tourism marketing efforts. For the first 2015 application cycle, the CVB awarded over $15,000 to eleven Greenbrier County organizations. To be eligible, projects must market a tourism-related event, attraction or initiative that enhance Greenbrier County’s image as a travel destination.  The second round of 2015 mini-grants is approaching with applications being accepted through July
