Greenbrier County CVB Celebrates West Virginia Day with Open House

(Lewisburg, WV (June 13, 2013) - In celebration of West Virginia's 150th Birthday, the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) invites the public to an Open House on Thursday, June 20th, from 11am to 3pm. Visitors can enjoy light refreshments and live music and enter to win door prizes. In addition, children ages 3 to 10 are invited to enter a coloring contest sponsored by the CVB.

"We've got a lot of fun in store for our open house," said Kara Dense, Executive Director of the Greenbrier County CVB. "Our musicians will play West Virginia favorites while visitors can enjoy two treats - pepperoni rolls and RC Cola!"

Children are encouraged to pick up one of four coloring sheets at the CVB, either the brown bear, cardinal, sugar maple, or rhododendron, and color the West Virginia symbol for a chance to win a prize. Age categories for the contest are as follows: Ages 3-4, Ages 5-6, Ages 7-8 and Ages 9-10. Once completed, artwork will be on display at the CVB, and winners will be announced during Lewisburg's First Friday event on July 5th.

Additionally, the first 150 people through the door will receive a complimentary sweet treat, and door prizes will be drawn each hour. Be sure to enter your name and contact information for a chance to win Greenbrier Valley merchandise as well as two benefactor badges to The Greenbrier Classic.

Across the state and in the Greenbrier Valley, West Virginia's 150th birthday will be commemorated with special events.
