Lewisburg, WV - The WV Living 2017 Best of West Virginia finalists includes 14 categories featuring nominees from the Greenbrier Valley, county tourism officials announced today. The 2017 Best of West Virginia will be featured in the WV Living Winter ’17 issue, which will hit newsstands in early December. The final round of voting concludes on November 20, 2017.
“The categories featuring our partners from the Greenbrier Valley range from Best Boutique Hotel to Best Town for Foodies to Best Resort and Best Distillery,” said Kara D. Dense, Executive Director, Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “While it is never a surprise to see so many Greenbrier Valley attractions and partners included in these types of voter-driven competitions, we are always grateful for the confirmation that the Greenbrier Valley is a much desired destination getaway.”
The full list of nominees from the Greenbrier Valley includes: Best Fine Dining: The French Goat, Lewisburg; Best Hot Dog: Jim's Drive In, Lewisburg; Best Cidery: Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider and Mead, Lewisburg; Best Distillery: Smooth Ambler Spirits, Maxwelton; Best Unique Boutique: Wolf Creek Gallery, Lewisburg; Best Music Venue: Carnegie Hall, Lewisburg; Best Theater Company: Greenbrier Valley Theatre, Lewisburg; Best Boutique Hotel: The Historic General Lewis Inn, Lewisburg; Best Resort: The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs; Best Place to Play Golf: The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs; Best Weekend Escape: The Greenbrier and Lewisburg; Best Town for Foodies: Lewisburg; Best Town for History: Lewisburg; and the Best Town for the Arts: Lewisburg.
According to WV Living editor and publisher, Nikki Bowman, the competition draws thousands of voters around and outside of West Virginia to vote in the “Best of West Virginia” competition.
