Lewisburg, WV – The Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau (GCCVB) is proud to announce that three generations of a Greenbrier County family will be the artists in the June Art in the Valley exhibit.
The show is aptly named “Generations” and the matriarch and featured artist is Phyllis Crickenberger. Phyllis is known for her watercolor paintings. Her artwork has been chosen for display at Tamarack and she is a Signature Life Member of the West Virginia Watercolor Society.
Works from her daughters, Katie Ickes and Sara “Meg” Crickenberger will be included in the show, as well as pieces from several of her grandchildren. They are Naomi, Sarah Beth and Samuel, children of Joe and Kim Crickenberger, Grace, daughter of Tom and Amy Crickenberger and Mary Claire, daughter of Katie and Larry Ickes.
The Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center began the Art in the Valley project as a way to provide local artists with an exhibition space. Each month the Visitors Center showcases a different artist or collections of artists. Art in the Valley is free and open to the public.
The opening of Art in the Valley: Generations will be June 5th during June’s First Fridays after Five in downtown Lewisburg. Strum Sum will provide musical entertainment and Rubber Ducky tickets will be for sale from representatives of the Ronceverte River Festival.
