Greenbrier County CVB Assists Popular Lewisburg Music Festival

Lewisburg, WV – The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) grants $1500 in marketing funds to Carnegie Hall’s Lewisburg Music Festival.

Saturday, July 25 is the second annual Lewisburg Music Festival featuring six “Americana” bands: Steep Canyon Rangers, David Wax Museum, Yarn, Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion, Qiet and The Black Mountain Bluegrass Boys. The music begins at 2 p.m. at Academy Park - the combined lawns of Carnegie Hall, Greenbrier County Community and Technical College and the North House Museum. Tickets are $35 for adults and are available at the gate. The festival is family friendly, The Kids Space opens at 1 p.m. Tickets for children 6 to 12 are $10 while those 5 and under are free.

Each year the CVB sets aside a portion of its budget to further the tourism marketing efforts of local entities. In the most recent fiscal year, the CVB awarded over $24,000 to sixteen Greenbrier County organizations. The recipients include the WV Dandelion Festival, the Alderson Quilters and Crafters, Main Street Ronceverte and others. To be eligible, projects must market a tourism-related event, attraction or initiative that enhances Greenbrier County’s image as a travel destination.
